Windows OS and SP 3 issues?

I installed all of the latest updates on my computer, including IE 8 and Service Pack 3 for xp.

Now,

1) it’s not finding my camera when I plug it in;

2) it’s not installing (or uninstalling) programs. It tells me there’s a problem with the installer. I checked that the registry permissions are as required in the instructions on the Microsoft website. Still no good.

3) When I go to Windows Update, it tells me I have to change my security setting so as to enable userdata persistence… but userdate persistence is already enabled.

Everything was fine before I installed the updates. My OS is legal and registered (or was, before the updates).

    Open control panel click on system then rate your computer, and see if your version of windows is good, after its done, plug your camera in and update windows. If this doesn't solve the issue, open help and support type compatibility and search it.Click on compatibility wizard and follow the how to use,it if you have it.

    once you have SP2 on your pc, do no longer complication to place in SP3. we don't prefer it and it does no longer do something for our pc. once you ever elect to format your pc and reinstall homestead windows it quite is worth at an identical time as installation SP3. in many situations you get approximately one hundred updates after a reinstall. once you install SP3, you get carry of all one hundred, inclusive of SP2 in one installation. until then basically leave it like it quite is, be pleased with SP2. Your pc is, so why no longer u2
