Find four consecutive integers whose sum is 114.

    x+(x+1)+(x+2)+(x+3)=114

    4x+6=114

    4x=108

    x=27

    27, 28, 29, 30

    Your need can be stated as:

    114 = n + (n -1) + (n - 2) + (n - 3), where n is an integer.

    So: 114 = 4n - 6,

    from which: n = 30.

    Hence, the four numbers are: 30, 29, 28 and 27.
