What do you think of Representative King's comments about Obama?
In an interview, Representative (R-IA) Steve King said that Obama favors blacks over whites.
His direct quote is " The president has demonstrated that he has a default mechanism in him that breaks down the side of race on the side that favors the black person in the case of professor Gates and officer Crowley."
He was obviously referring to the incident with Professor Gates of Harvard and the police where Obama defending Gates.

His comments sound exactly like some of the words that come out of people's mouth when they bash Obama. However, by viewing some of the comments below the article, it sure seems like a lot people agree with him, not surprised.
I don't think it's true whatsoever, so the president takes the sides of two incidents and all of a sudden he is pro-black? If I'm not mistaken, didn't Obama bash black males for not being men and raising their kids? That to me doesn't seem so pro-black.
The guy is Republican, Obama is a Democrat, people are pissed, and the people making the biggest noise are whites, so he is just feeding them what they want to hear.
"Whites don't have this, whites don't have that, blacks have this, but whites don't,why not? why are black people allowed to be racist, but not whites, whah. whah".
His comments are false or true depending on whose view you want to take. I've yet to see Obama to be some sort of black militant or pick sides over whites. If someone can show me an article or links saying he favors *blacks over *whites*, then I'll say King's comments are true.
EDIT: He also misquoted that other guy mentioned in the article.
EDIT: Before I forget, I'm not implying that's all whites whine about in my comment above or that it's most". It has to do more with "whining" with everything that is going on with this country.

Yes,It think it is very true. He does favor Blacks. He listened to Reverend Wright hates speeches for over 15 years. He even considers himself black, when he in fact IS NOT A BLACK MAN. Take some quotes for his book,it's obvious he has Identity issues & resents being half white.

To be fair Obama knew Professor Gates from the past. So to me it's buddy watching over a buddy. Same thing we did in the army. As for his membership in Rev Wrights church, Gate's church is powerful political machine in Chicago. Obama naturally be a member to get his foot into the door.

Okay lets put the pieces together here, Steve King is a republican and from past actions you can infer that he is a racist. Obama is black and a democrat.

King is certainly entitled to his own opinion, but I don't agree with it. Obama is my President and I intend to support him in every way that I can. Hey, do you want Bush and Chaney back?
