negotiating a better mobile phone contract?
hi
i am on o2 pay as you go at the moment with a phone i don't like, i spend about £15 per month o top ups and use the internet ( i would use it more but i don't have enough money).
i would like to change to either o2 or orange (pref o2) pay monthly contract.
now i have look on the net about how to negotiate a good deal with a good FREE phone but all they say is just tell them your going to leave and then their going to get you everything you want.
how to I go about negotiating?
ok then, but what do i say about getting a good deal, i was told to say something about "another network has offered me such nd such a deal can you beat that"- does that work?
im in the UK

There are plenty of free phones available for a 2 year contract.
Go to the AT&T website for example ATT.com then look at the bottom where it says cell phones. Click on that then click on free phones.
They have a pretty good selection of free phones; I recommend the Samsung Solstice if you want a touchscreen or the LG Neon if you just want an easy to use phone. Contact me if you need any more help

Well as your on PAYG, you cant use the old "threat to leave them, then get a better deal" that does work, but only if you have had a contract with them for a long while. If your getting a new contract, just find what you like and can afford and go with it. and if you want a flashy new phone, iphone, htc etc, your gonna pay a susidy, if you want a free one it will be an older phone.

have you checked out o2 simplicity deals you don't get a phone with it just a sim but if you go on to www.o2.co.uk and see what their tariffs are you may find something
