a few mtg questions and more to come?

1.) can someone please explain how does o-ring target emrakul

2.) is there any sanction if a player forgets to draw, here's the case, a player forgets to draw and immediately plays jace's brainstorm ability. then ask a judge if he could draw. any sanction to that kind of incident?

3. i'm planning to buy a box of booseter box, which is a better expansion? roe, worldwake or zendikar?

4. any card worth keeping from the shadowmoor block?

5. my opponent play Knight of Reliquary's ability, i "before" it with bant charm causing it to tap, the judge says KOR has priority since it costs a sacrifice to activate? would KOR be given priority or it will be tapped by my bant charm.

6. Bloobraid Elf and Ranger of Eos are going out next cycle, are there any big four drops in standard format that i can use for my naya ally deck aside from Vengevine? any advice for my sideboard. bant charm is fun to use but pretty difficult to cast because of its casting cost.

    1. When Oblivion Ring enters the battlefield, you exile target permanent. Emrakul says colored spells, not abilities. So when Oblivion Ring enters the battlefield, the ability goes off, it's not a spell. The ability is colorless so you can target Emrakul.

    2. Ok what happens is that he puts the cards back on top of his library in the order that they were in and he gets a warning and draws his card for upkeep. Then he can do Jace's Brainstorm ability and continue on with the game. If he continues to do so, he can be disqualified.

    3. I would say Zendikar. That is my opinion. Worldwake is fine too but don't buy Rise because it's good when you are playing sealed but outside of sealed, you can be better off just buying the cards you need on the internet.

    4. Demigod of Revenge, Deus of Calamity, Reflecting Pool, all the filter lands, and Fulminator Mage. That's pretty much all I can think of.

    5. Sorry, I can't exactly help with this one. I really don't know. I think it does have priority because either

    A. You tap him before he taps and he can do it in response

    B. He taps and when he does you bant charm, but he still sacrifices a land because his ability triggers.

That is what I think happens but don't quote me on that :P

6, That is all based off of your opinion but I personally like this one

You can look over that and decide what you like but I like that one :P

    Hope this helps!

    1. Oblivion Ring cannot target Emrakul as Emrakul has protection from colored spells and Oblivion ring is white.

    2. A warning is perhaps going to be made because without drawing Jace was technically played during the players upkeep. Since that cannot happen, you back up to when the mistake happened and then proceed accordingly. If the player does this again, it could cost him a game. This is sort of like the Soul Warden effect, first time you forget to gain life, you get a warning, the second time you forget to gain life, you lose the game.

    3. I like Zendikar best. Eldrazi is a true booster set for Zendikar, but if you need cards, you need a solid core to build from and I believe Zendikar is better in that sense.

    4. It really depends on what you like to play and what you are building. If you can't think of a card to put in your deck, then the answer should be no.

    5. You lose this one. It really doesn't matter either way about priority. If you're opponent has priority, he pays for the activation and your Bant charm cannot do anything. If you have priority, then in response to your bant charm your opponent pays for the ability. Either way the knight becomes tapped and the activated ability resolves for the knight.

    6. Use the gatherer on the wizards website and filter into the colors you wish to play and on the sets you want to play with. When it comes to Bant there can be a lot of good stuff, but it depends on what you're combining it with.

I can help with two of the card ruling issues.

1 - Emrakul is only Protected from 'Coloured Spells'. Oblivion Ring does not target while it is on the stack, it will first resolve and enter the Battlefield as an Enchantment, and then select a target. Because it is no longer a 'spell', it can choose Emrakul.

5 - Tapping Knight of the Reliquary is a Cost. There is no way to use an external effect to tap him in between announcing the effect and paying the cost - by the time you are even allowed to cast the Bant Charm, the Knight will already have tapped.
