Maybe.

2 wire dc motors are permanent magnet.

4 wires are not, you have to provide power to the field wires to generate the magnetic field.

The wires coming from the 4 dc motor is probally marked A1, A2, F+, F-.

I am assuming that you have a controller in place to controll the speed of the two wire dc motor. Pull the manual for the controller. It will tell you if it have a capability to run a 4 wire motor.

Here is a spec sheet for a drive that I work on at work. The motor that we use is a two wire and the manual says to put a jumper from F+ to A1 and F- to A2 for a 2 wire motor. For a 4 wire you will have to run wire from the controller to the motor for the field.
