Does the below sequence follow any function?

1,2,5,14,42,132,429....

    How many ways to chop an n-gon into n-2 triangles with regard to orientation.

    Important in enumeration of trees in algorithmics (computer science)

    Honestly, its probably a college algebraic sequence, it most likely has a weird function like +2 -5 x3 /4 (example). your best bet is to go online and find a sequence equation (if there is one..?) and work it out that way. only thing I can think of.

    the conventional producing function of a series an is G(an, x ) = ?an, xn the place an ability nth term of series.. and xn ability ability of x is n here given 3,4,5,6,7. a = a million , d = 4-3 = a million an = a + ( n-a million) d an = a million+(n-a million)a million an = a million+n-a million an = n so G(an, x ) = ? n xn further u can do different sums.....

    these are known as catalan numbers.
