Laptop/digital camera help!?!?

I have a lenovo laptop with a windows system. It doesn't have a slot for SD cards but when I use the cord to connect the laptop to my kodak digital camera through a usb port to load pictures on, it doesn't recognize it so I can't load the pics. What can I do to fix this. 10 pts to the one that works.

Update:

Kodak easy share is already on the computer.

One very easy but simple solution is to use a external card reader. Just plug and go, no software is needed.

In order for your laptop to talk with your camera, you will need to install the Kodak EasyShare software that come with the camera.

After you install the EasyShare software, you just hook up the camera to your laptop with the USB cable and turn the camera on.

The pop-up instruction will walk you through the process.

Alternatively, you can use an external Card Reader to Drag & Drop photos from the memory card to your laptop.

Your dv camcorder needs a firewire connection (ieee 1394) in order to acquire video, your workstation likely did not contain a firewire port, so so that you could purchase one and set up it, because maximum pcs (except likely clean) do not contain a firewire port, your camcorder did not contain a firewire wire so so that you could purchase a wire too. Your camcorder did contain a USB wire and that is used for downloading stills out of your camcorder. ascertain your digicam is in playback mode. Laptops favor an empty bay for the firewire card, so in case you do not have an empty bay you've a huge difficulty. The high quality print on your camcorder guide makes connection with firewire (ieee 1394) connection.
