Algebra/Geometry/ Curriculum for High school?

I am trying to decide on what curriculum to use for Algebra 1. I want the course to give my child a great understanding of algebra as she will be doing higher level Algebra in college. For this reason I have shyed away from Teaching Textbooks as I have heard that it is more for those who want a basis in Algebra rather then those who plan on pursuing it further in college. I'm considering: Saxon, Elementary Algebra/Geometry by Jacobs, Foerster, or Dolciani. I'm open for any suggestions.

Teaching Textbooks have Algebra I, but they also have Algebra II, Geometry, and Pre-Calculus. My daughter used up to Geometry and college is not problem. Check their website for sample pages and placement tests. My kids loved Teaching Textbooks. My son started Algebra I last year in 8th and will finish it next year in 9th.

If presented, first take math one hundred and one, then airplane geometry (it is on a flat floor). Algebra final. I took Algebra two times, yet have been given stable teach in between and made an extremely good difference. in case you experience lost in college, ask instructor for help after type as you're techniques-caught. you won't have the capacity to forget approximately those spots through fact they connect with something of the path. That became my project.

We have these books with chili peppers... But that was for Algebra II/Geometry/Trig, I'm not sure they make them for Algebra I. I suppose you should look through them and make sure they provide everything you need a textbook to provide in a clear, concise format.

Some people use Life of Fred as a stand alone. Others find it best to use as a supplement. It depends what kind of learner your child is. I know of a lot of people who use it as a stand alone, and a lot who need to supplement use it alongside the Key To maths series.

Chalkdust is another I've heard of, but I don't know anything about.

Saxon & Jacobs are great choices. I taught with Saxon and it's High School courses are very well done. They are thorough and have plenty of repetition.
