what part of the printer is head?
m talkin about HP deskjet 3940 printer..u see it stopped working...i searched few web pages..and all were saying the head must have been damaged...so i thought i could use ur help..

i tried that too....and one more thing it prints only notepad documents...nothing other than that..i m frustrated with this printer...

which is print. Printer head print on paper
If you taking about Dot Matrix Printer
its head print on paper.
Same with ink Jet its contains cartridge

what message its show when you start it.
I think you need to replace the cartridges.
