Probably not.
The driver of the vehicle is the proverbial "captain of the ship." When you drive the vehicle, you are responsible for making certain that it does not have any equipment violations, and is properly insured and registered . . . otherwise, people could leave vehicles registered in someone else's name in perpetuity without ever needing to register it.
You can/should ask the owner of the vehicle to kick in or pay for the ticket.

You are responsible for the vehicle at all times as the driver, regardless of whether it is your car or not. You can go to court and ask the judge for leniency as it wasn't your car and see if they will dismiss it, but the judge has no obligation to drop it.
Why did you bring up race on this question if you know it has no bearing on the ticket? If you're that upset your race was wrong, when you go to court ask the court to amend the ticket to show the appropriate race as it has no bearing on the ticket.

some states do not incorporate expiration data as quickly as I run the plate by way of LEADS (police pc). I have no concept whilst it definitely expired and that i won't be able to pass on the decal on my own. i can although cite you for showing an expired decal as adversarial to bringing up for expired registration. Being a resident of any state has not something to do with it.

No. The driver of a car is responsible for everything pertaining to the car.
I had a loaner car from the gas station once as mine was being repaired. I got stopped for an incomplete stop at a red stop sign. The insurance card was EXPIRED. I was charged. ( The garage did pay me back.):)

You could try to pin it on the owner of the car, assuming he is dumb enough to let you drive his car when the tags are expired.
It's still your fault though as you should know if a car is legal to drive, or has expired tags, before you drive it.
