Does it matter if they got the name of the hospital wrong on babies birth cert (in australia)?

On my babies birth certificate its listed as her being born in a private hospital in the same town when she was actually born in the public hospital in that town. Should I do something about getting them to fix it and issuing another birth certificate or is it unlikely to really cause any problems down the track?

I'm in Australia too, I don't think it will cause any problems in the future, as it still states the correct town, but I would contact BDM office and let them know of the error, they should fix it up for you at no cost.

I would ask them to issue a new one with the correct hospital on it, i am not sure if it would matter but personally i would demand the correct hospital on the Birth Certificate

  • Im in Australia too. If they made this mistake it's best to fix it, not leave it.

Go to the place where you got your babies birth certificate and tell them that there was a mistake and get them to fix it.

No, he can not rigidity you to till he's taking you to courtroom and gets the new child legitimized, yet while he's a drug broking....and has run-in with the regulation and has a offender checklist..then i do no longer think of you have any concerns. If he does take you to courtroom..then in basic terms get a lawyer and combat visitation and coach him no longer worth for dealing drugs and so on....No concerns. He has a hundred% NO rights..whether he did sign the start certificates...till he recognizes the new child in a courtroom of regulation. If he is going for a DNA attempt..then he's probable attempting to get legitimation for the new child. good success.

I know in the US It is the Vital statistics that matter. i.e. Date, time parentage. But for accuracy's sake you may want to get a revision.
