I applied for a job at Hollister?
I applied for the model position and had a group interview last Tuesday. They said they would call back within one week to notify me of getting the job. It's been a week and they didn't call which makes me believe I did not get the job. I was fairly confident in getting the job; not to seem vain or conceited but I felt like I was one of the more attractive and slimmer contenders for the position. I also gave great answers during the interview (I am an honors students thus didn't sound like a ditz when answering the questions). I'm also Hispanic and I hear they have an affirmative action-like policy. I'm 17 and have no previous work experience. Do you think I got the job and will get called back? If I didn't get the job, can I apply again?

If they didn't call, they didn't hire you. Sorry.
I really don't recommend calling them, do you really want to give power to some lame manager the power to tell you on the phone "ohh sorry we didn't hire you, you can apply again in 6 months."
Go apply in another abercrombie/holister, OR walk around in the store and be happy, they could easily stop and ask you to work there. It's happened many times to me.

When I got the job at a&f they only waited about 4 days to call me. They may not like your availability since I'm guessing next year you'll be a senior in high school. Since you're taking honors, you probably won't want to work 4 or 5 to 10 during the school year, and all the A&F/hollister company stores change their floor set on weekdays during the morning, a normal shift is 6 am to 11 am, so you wouldn't be able to work that. You can always try calling, but with your smarts, it sounds like you can get a better job, one that won't pay you a measly $7.25 per hour.

When I was beginning to read your question the 1st question I was going to ask you was "Are you anything other than white?" Because if you are then you have a 1 in a 1000 chance to not get the job!! I'm saying this from experience. I am a hot salvadorean and they will regret the day they didn't hire me! Well actually I am grateful because the job that did call me was a bank!! hehe f**** hollister!! =) And to answer your question, no they are not going to call you. Sorry=) Good luck on your job search.
