How can the worship of carved images be justified?
(Psalm 115:4-8) Their idols are silver and gold, The work of the hands of earthling man. 5 A mouth they have, but they cannot speak; Eyes they have, but they cannot see; 6 Ears they have, but they cannot hear. A nose they have, but they cannot smell. 7 Hands are theirs, but they cannot feel. Feet are theirs, but they cannot walk; They utter no sound with their throat. 8 Those making them will become just like them, All those who are trusting in them.
(Exodus 20:4-5) “You must not make for yourself a carved image or a form like anything that is in the heavens above or that is on the earth underneath or that is in the waters under the earth. 5 You must not bow down to them nor be induced to serve them, because I Jehovah your God am a God exacting exclusive devotion, bringing punishment for the error of fathers upon sons, upon the third generation and upon the fourth generation, in the case of those who hate me;

It cant ever be justified. Whether these idols are made of the finest materials and have many physical features or not. At the end of the they they are just materials in a materialistic world, which we all know comes to an end. The One and True God is everlasting. HE is OUR creator.
I dont understand how people worship something they created, rather than worshipping The One who created them all.

I'm not sure what you mean... Are you trying to come up with a way to justify worshiping "carved images" or "idols"? Or did you just totally misunderstand the bible passages you quoted?

Because the idols are based on their imaginations.
