My friend has vaseline in her hair, how can she get it out?

Use dish washing detergent like dawn that has grease cutters in it. Might have to wash it a couple of times to get it out. Vaseline is petroleum based so it is very oily.

This works for my hands & face, & I'm sure it'll work for the hair too :

First rub hair gently, all over, with tissue paper or paper napkins. This may require more than one paper. Do it till most of the greasiness has been absorbed by this extremely absorbent paper.

Then wash with any shampoo .....

All the very best & when this works, they'll be ready for another vaseline fight ;-))

Try washing up liquid as it is made to break down oils, or biological washing powder (though only in a small amount as it could irritate the skin). The wash really thoroughly with shampoo after.

skip the shampoo and try Dawn dish washing liquid which is a better degreaser.

The hair will have to be washed numerous times and conditioned like crazy afterward but if Dawn can get crude oil off of wildlife at the oil spill, it can get vaseline out of your hair.

1] Shampoo with dish soap [ Dawn ] several times, then use conditioner.

2] If it gets olui off ducks, otters, and pelicans; it will get Vaseline out of hair.

scince vaseline is grease, put baby powder on it, leave it there for about 10-15 min then wash it out. Baby powder, dries the grease and makes it not be as sticky. I had a new top i was wearing and i was putting vaseline on and i accidentaly wiped it on my shirt! it left a stain! :O i put baby powder on it, washed it, and it was gone!!! Don't try dish washer soap, it will just burn your hair with all the chemicals in it.

Washing up detergent. Put it on neat, massage it in, leave for a while, then lather it up under the shower. Rinse thoroughly. Repeat, if necessary. If the hair feels dry, apply conditioner, then rinse well

There are shampoos specifically designed to get products like oils, hair dye, dirt and other hard to get rid off things out of your hair. They range from 15-30 dollars. They are usually found at salons. I use them to get old hair dyes out and it even can remove perms. Its a chemical in the shampoo. It wont damage your hair. Hope I helped.

Pat cornstarch into the hair, which will absorb the vaseline, then shampoo it out with warm or hot water. Repeat this process if necessary.

UM wash it?? with head and shoulders. and stop putting vaseline in your hair!
