My hair is really thick--how should I style it?

I want to know how i should wear/do/style my hair. Here are some things you should know about it:
My hair is really thick. In terms of length, it goes 7 inches past my shoulders, so it's pretty long. It's only slightly wavy. I have A LOT of hair and I can't just wear it down without anything in it because it gets in my face a lot. I really want bangs in the front but I can't get them because of the thickness of my hair. Thanks to all answerers, I really want to hear your helpful ideas!

For the latest modern styles, the modern styling tools are Velcro or plastic rollers.  The type and size of rollers depends on your hair type. a style for your hair would be to get bangs, and straighten them!
and with the rest of your hair clip it up to one side and curl your hair if it isnt wavy ( to add volume)
and it should look cute. and thats a really quick style to do.

go to a salon and get your hair thinned out with a razer. basically its the same as getting layers, but smoother looking. and i dont see why you cant get bangs.. i would just get them. you should try scruching or crimping your hair. maybe straightening it sometimes. but i wouldn't curl it cuz its so thick. that might make it look poofy lol

Well, layers thins out your hair.
Or, you can use thinning shears.
