One Year since MJ's death... where were you when you heard the news one year ago?

I was sitting in my room reading and my friend called me. When she told me I was so far from believing her. She told me it was all over the news and when I turned on the TV i couldn't believe it. But he's is going to live on forever. Because of his music because of who he was. He literally changed the world in the greatest ways. And i wished he could have stayed in this world longer for us his family and for him. His death wasn't fair to anybody. Love him forever!

Such a huge loss for mankind. MJ was on his way back to the top when his life was cut down by shoddy medicine. I didn't find out until later in the day as I was in meetings for the whole afternoon and had no access to cell or internet. I have to admit my initial reaction was numbness but for some reason it wasn't unexpected to me. Controversy seemed to follow him in his later years.

But to see all the tributes in the days after his death from fans far and wide, it was really heartwarming. And on the 1 year anniversary of his death it was sweet too. Listened to Heart & Soul all day playing their MJ tribute.

**** that was like the worst day ever.......it was crazy. I was in North Carolina at my aunt and uncle and cousins house for the summer. I was watching 106 and Park sitting on the couch. They said that Mike was in the hospital and I'm like "What?". I was really confused. Then, 106 and Park went to a commercial and then when they got back they said that Micheal had died and I;m like "Whoa, wait a minute, hold on. How did that happen?" They played the "You are Not Alone" video. Then I went to Youtube to watch his videos and ppl had already put R.I.P Micheal as comments under the vid and I'm like "Wow". I could't sleep that night.

****i remember,that morning i passed out while my mother was giving me a lecture(no pun intended)...anyway,after i get back home from the doctor's office,i laid down in my brother's king size bed.I was surfing through the channels and came across CNN.It flashed:Michael Jackson;Cardiac Arrest;Dead at 51.I immediately got out of bed and ran downstairs to tell my mom.She was in complete shock.A few hours later,I sent out an email telling my family what had happened.I checked my phone and had a lot of messages from my friends and family saying that Michael Jackson had died.I didn't cry until the day of his memorial when his daughter Paris got up to speak.Today is a day to not cry,but today is a day to rejoice and celebrate his legacy.I reccomend not listening to songs like you are not alone,human nature,man in the mirror,earth song and other slow songs by him.Listen to songs like:rock with you,billie jean,smooth criminal,remember the time,the way you make me feel,scream,leave me alone and more.Don't cry today,if Michael would have known you,he wouldn't want you to cry,he would want you to be happy and celebrate the fact that he is in a better place with our Eternal Father.Amen.

i'm a brilliant FAN btw!! I had gotten tickets to that's It and that i replaced into on the telephone with my maximum suitable buddy while she advised me to coach on the information. Then, I observed Michael had died :( i'm a believer <3

I WAS RELAXING AT HOME, ENJOYING MY BREAK FROM COLLEGE. I SAW THE NEWS OF HIM HAVING A CARDIAC ARREST AND I WAS SHOCKED...ABOUT 40 MINS TO AN HOUR LATER, I READ TMZ'S NOTICE OF HIS DEATH. I JUST COULDN'T BELIEVE IT.

I heard about it on Twitter, then I turned on MSNBC and CNN.

will i was in my house in heard it..BUT IT WAS NOT CONFORMED TO ME WHEN I WENT TO THE LAUNDRY, AND THE LANDRY DUDE SAID "you heard about ya boy micheal" HE DIED. MY MOTHER SHOUTED OUT "GET OUTTA HERE"! I WAS SURPRISE. I MEAN I KNEW HE WAS WENT IN TO THE HOSPITAL BUT.........BIG LOSE.
