Question about my late period!?

my period is now 6 days late.

i have been having cramps for the past 5 days.

what could be wrong or going on?

more info:

i'm 17 years old

i have NOT had sex in the past 2 months

and i did get my period last month on time

HELP PLEASE

    Your period is late... this happens all the time. It's perfectly normal. The cramps mean it's going to happen soon. If this is weird for you, it happens to every other woman, and so this is just the first time.

    It happens. Stress, food, sleep, daily routines, even the people you hang out with can alter your cycle.

    If this happens regularly and really bothers you, you can talk to your doctor who will most likely prescribe you birth control to help regulate it. Although for me personally, the side effects of birth control were way worse than my irregular periods, so I stopped taking it.

    It means nothing, dear. Periods are early, late, on time. It means nothing. Again, IT MEANS NOTHING!!!!!!

    I'm 45 years old, my periods have mostly been irregular, early, late, whatever. I'm fine.
