Is My Tank Overcrowded?

I have a comet goldfish, 6 White cloud Minnows, and an Apple snail. I don't know if this is too much for a ten gallon tank but I might give my goldfish away. If I do give my goldfish away is it possible to get some fish to accompany my white cloud minnows? Which types could live well with my white cloud minnows and snail?

Re-home the Comet, they grow too big for a 10gal, and will eat White Clouds when they are bigger.

I would get some plants, like Java Moss and see if you can get the White Clouds to breed. They should if you can look after them properly and provide some cover for the eggs and fry.

The tank can support a few more minnows, so you have space for some offspring.

Everything is great except for the comet goldfish. They produce a lot of waste and will outgrow the tank. You should give the goldfish back to the petstore and maybe add a small school of corydoras.

Comet shouldnt be in less then 70 gallons. Other then that it looks good. You could hold some more minnows in there too:)

Get rid of the comet or put it in a bigger tank (70-100 gallons preferably), and otherwise everything is great. I don't think you should get any more fish or even shrimp, or otherwise it could easily become overstocked.

Comet goldfish get really huge. 80 gallons recommended.
