How can I overcome my fear of vomit?
I believe I used to have emetophobia but recently I've overcome my fear of vomiting, however, I'm still afraid of vomit. Can anyone give me tips on how to best this or link me to a site that can help?
Also I would love to work in the medical field so this is an important fear for me to overcome.

Emetaphobia is the most common phobia in the USA.
Practically no one likes the vomiting of another.
Babysitting infants or having one pretty much cures anyone, at least temporarily. It is so common and has to be dealt with immediately and cleaned up continually to preserve the baby and your own clothing.

I'm the total opposite of you -- other people's vomit doesn't freak me out nearly as much as the idea of having to vomit myself! I think the only way to overcome it is exposure -- get a job in a hospital or something. That'll cure ya.

I have developed emetophobia. I have the biggest fear, and explaining it to you right now is wrenching. When i try not to think about it, i think more. I take deep breaths, smell pretty things, and suck on pink wintergreen mints all the time. it helps trust me!
