Windows 7 Resolution?
I have installed windows 7 on my "Hi-Grade" laptop that has windows XP as default operation system. But now I have problem with my computer's resolution.
I mean that it does not have animated features and transparent windows and so on. Besides, my graphic card is defined in Device Manager(it is written: standard VGA graphics adapter).
What can I do?
Thanks.

The "Standard VGA graphics adapter" is the generic driver that Windows resorts to using when you did not install the proper driver for your video card. It supports only limited resolutions, which is why your computer looks like crap.
You need to find out what graphics chipset your laptop uses, then download the custom Windows 7 driver written specifically for it from the graphics chipset manufacturer's website. Until you do that, you will NOT be able to use higher resolutions.

First go to the website of the manufacturer of your laptop and look for Windows 7 drivers, sounds to me like it might all be a driver problem to begin with. After you get all of your drivers installed, if you want to turn on Aero the easiest thing to do is right click on the desktop, choose personalize and then pick one of the Aero themes.
