Personally, I would choose an Android phone any day because on the iPhone:

    -cant take out the battery

    -no removable memory

    -only Apple-approved apps

-STILL no true multi-tasking like Android

-cant customize your phone AT ALL

    -no Flash support

    -no widgets

    -no free GPS navigation

    -no free wireless music downloads

    -no ringback tones

-all file syncing MUST be done through iTunes (pictures, etc.)

-Android phones have more memory storage

-most Android phones have better cameras

-no standard USB cable like all other phones

-instant Android OTA software updates- don’t have to wait a year like iPhone

-can’t get service in an ATT store- have to find an Apple store

    -works on ATTs horrible network

    -no unlimited data

-tethering comes out of your data plan instead of being separate

Android is miles ahead of Apple- with the new 4.0 software, Apple is only now letting people do things that Android can, like add folders to their home screen, because God forbid that anyone should be able to do that on their cell phone!! And even in 4 years, they haven’t been able to give the iPhone true multi-tasking capabilities, like Android. It took them 4 years to put a flash on the camera for crying out loud!! By the time Apple puts out a new iPhone, there’s a better Android phone out 4 months later. Bottom line: they will always be trailing Android.

Android is already selling more phones than Apple, and it’s been out half the time that the iPhone has. By the end of the year, the Market will have 100,000 apps, which is more than the Apple Store had at its 2-year mark. Android’s open-source nature will always be more appealing to devs and phone manufacturers because they can market to every carrier, and dozens of phones, instead of 1 carrier and 1 phone. The possibilities are literally endless as far as Android is concerned, because ANYONE can make an app to do ANYTHING on the phone. With Apple, they have to approve every single app that goes into the Store. They even rejected an app because it said the word Android in it- how far do you really think they’re gonna go with that kind of closed-minded thinking?? I want to decide what goes on my phone, not the other way around..

The iPhone is not even in the same league as the EVO. Androids are the way to go. iPhones are a fad. The only fairly minor improvement is the improved resolution, but it still is a small screen. Besides, you’d be stuck with AT&T.

The HTC EVO can do everything the iPhone does, and do it better. Plus it can do many things the iPhone can’t do.

    To name a few:

It makes GOOD phone calls. Sprint is a much more reliable carrier.

Does not suffer from the iPhone’s Death Grip whereby it loses reception.

4.3’ screen, 4G capable, HDMI port, dual LED flashes, limitless Video-Chatting over WiFi or over the CELLULAR network, tethering, REAL multitasking, high quality FREE built-in GPS navigation, plays Flash content, accepts voice input system-wide, swappable battery, kickstand, support for ALL Google Mobile Services (YouTube, Gmail, Gvoice, Gtalk, etc.), the ability to use it as an external drive, you can put videos, music and anything you want, no need to use proprietary cables, etc., etc., etc... On an Android you can install any application you want, not what Steve Jobs wants. NO iTunes hassle. Just drag your movies or music into the microSD card and you’re done.

With the upcoming Android 2.2 you’ll have cloud-to-device messaging, over-the-air music syncing and streaming, the ability to use the phone as a mobile hot-spot for up to 8 devices, ability to Install Android Apps to SD Card, etc. It will also extend battery life. The new JIT compiler will boost performance to all Android phones that are updated to Android 2.2. Estimates run from 2x-5x, more likely 4x-5x.

By the way, I’m happily tethering my laptop to my EVO for FREE via USB using Easytether, a free app from the Android Market.

Google’s Android is the future. It’s developing at a very fast pace and bringing an avalanche of new technologies. Android is open-source and royalty-free, and when you compare it with Apple’s close-mindedness you feel liberated. I love the Google mindset. Apple better watch out because this monster is going to gobble up their little toy thingy.

nicely relies upon on whether you decide directly to go with sprint (CDMA), HTC EVO 4G or AT&T (GSM), iPhone 4. in case you wait till February tenth you could desire to get a CDMA like minded version of the iPhone 4 for Verizon.

iPhone 4 hands down, the 'left hand death grip' is said to happen to left handed people with sweaty palms. I'm not left handed but I'm ambidextrous and it hasn't happens to me so I guess it's not everyone that has this problem. Also AT&T isn't bad people exploits the most minor of problems I've had very few with AT&T. So basically it's rare join the iPhone family lol.

Are you left-handed? If so, then don't get the iPhone.

    Edit:

Guess the idiots aren't aware that if you are left-handed it totally CUTS the reception from the phone due to how they integrated the antenna into the left hand side of the phone. Go google "iPhone left-hand" and see exactly what I'm talking about.

    iPhone 4

    better battery

    better screen

    better App Store

Then again it may come down to which service provider you want to go with

iPhone 4 is exclusive to AT&T (GSM)

EVO 4G is exclusive to Sprint (CDMA)
