My son has downsyndrome and I know that there is a higher risk of lukemia and other kinds of cancer in people with downsyndrome. Also other diseases and disorders. It could. It depends on what you are wanting to treat. Some ailments will not be treatable because the same defects. If you are having a new baby, and it didnt not have DS, then it should be clean. And has a large chance of being able to help your son!

It could, but nothing is ever 100 percent. Talk to your child's pediatrician about it.
Cord blood can help fight hundreds of diseases, so google it and see what you can find.
