I lost the remote to my air conditioner. I really need to purchase an universal remote for it. Please tell me where I can buy one in stores (not online). Thanks a bunch.

I sincerely doubt anyone makes a "universal" remote for air conditioners, there's just not enough demand for it.
What I would suggest is that you go to the website of the manufacturer of your air conditioner and you can buy a new replacement one there. Or, you might be able to find one on eBay.
