Atheists, what were the sins committed by this (or these) Christian Vandals?

A highway billboard was vandalized. It said, "One nation indivisible" leaving out the phrase "under God." Someone spray painted "under God" on the billboard. In your opinion what biblical commands were violated by these vandals? What sin(s) do they need to ask God for forgiveness for?

Update:

Lighten up folks, contrary to popular opinion I do have a sense of humor. I know I'm not a candidate for Last Comedian Standing.

Update 2:

It had to be Christians they have been vandalizing since they burned Rome in 64 AD.

How 'bout "love your neighbor as you would love yourself."

I'm sorry, I'm not an Atheist, but I think it was completely wrong for that sign to be vandalized.

***Do we know for sure that Christians did this? Don't Jews

    believe in God?

@ Astaroth: Good Homework! Just remember it's not all Christians or God believers who act in childish manners. Blame Christians, not Christianity. Sometimes we go too far

As an aside, I had to laugh - the pledge originally had no "under god" either, 50s paranoid Christians put it in to show those "godless commies" what's what. I guess history does tend to repeat itself.

I don't know, being a petty little mind isn't a sin I guess. A shame, really. Missed chance for sky daddy.

  • Ahh, that's right, even Jesus vandalized things. haha.

    John 2:14-15 (NIV)

14In the temple courts he found men selling cattle, sheep and doves, and others sitting at tables exchanging money. 15So he made a whip out of cords, and drove all from the temple area, both sheep and cattle; he scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables.

I don't condone vandalism, nor animal abuse, so I will never worship Jesus.

"You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or male or female slave, or ox, or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor."

They saw a billboard belonging to someone else and desired to make it their own with their own message. Salt and pepper sir?

    EDIT:

I'm Atheist. Christians really should read their own user manual, it's very entertaining.

To even ask the question is to entirely miss the point.

The very concept of "sin" presupposes the existence of a god who could take offense at our actions.

What they committed was a CRIME, and they deserve to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of secular law.

There were no "sins" committed, and that just shows the need for more billboards such as those.

is that your attitude? good thing, because i was planning to come over tonight to spray-paint "satan lives" on your house.

None. There's no such thing as a 'sin'.

Thou shalt make no false gods before me.

Also, thou shalt not be a dick, (maybe ol' Moses forgot that one).

Who knows if the vandals are even Christians?
