Can't find my music in windows media player?

I'm trying to burn a CD on my laptop and the only option I have right now to do that is through windows media player (I can't afford to buy another program right now). I've used windows media player in the past to burn CD's with no problems. But for some reason, most of my music files are not showing up. I mean, they are all in the same place, but only some of the music is showing up. They are all in the same format, so there is no reason for this. Why is this happening, and how do I fix it?

Go to options, library, monitor folders, and then go to ok.

Sometimes the windows media player takes a while to add the music so making it monitor the folders yourself will make them add the music. I've had to do this whenever Ive converted music files.

That or you need to right click the songs, go to properties and see if there's an actual title for the song name within the ID tag. If it doesn't have a title then you won't find it because the player has no way of finding it if it has no name.

    Get Nero.

Windows is a pain, and with their player, the options can be difficult to understand.

You should be able to open another window and drag/drop the files into your playlist, and then burn the list.

I love windows media player, cause it works, but for burning I love Nero.

I think you have your media player settings to not recognize when new files are loaded.

No Biggy, just drag and drop the files.

    Hope this helps?
