Potential job is checking references -?

and one of my references has a temporary job change therefore the number is different.

Should I let the person checking know this right away?

When said reference is called, if not picked up the call will go to her answering machine.

Since that's the case, there is no chance of it being re-directed to another number

Since that is the case, should I give the potential job this additional number?

Yes. The easier you make it for them to find and talk to your good references, the better.

Yes you should immediately. This is also a good selling point to your interviewer that you are able to follow up on any changes and that you detailed oriented.

Good luck in your employment opportunity.
