Go to to the Records office of the police in the town it happened in. They will tell you if it's on your record.

personally i think that would be on your record, just like if you get suspended its on your school record. your friends right, to make sure you should check with the police. find out the phone number for your local police division and explain to them that you want to see if thats on your record. the will tell you.

It is not on your record.

You can always ask at the Police Station to see your record.

    You got off easy.

The store charged you. ( Actually you didn't have to pay unless they took you to small claims court.")

The police did not charge you. That would have been up to a $300. fine + up to $300. for court costs.

    Lesson learned?
