Has anyone ever used the Marshall Ferret Townhouse cage for rats? Any other suggestions for a 4 rat home?
Here's the link...http://www.ferret.com/item/marshall-ferret-townhou...
I'm looking for a good cage that would be good for four females rats that I am about to adopt. They are only 3 months old right now, but they'll get bigger fast. None of the cages for ratties seem to be big enough.
Other ones I were considering were the Super Pets Deluxe My First Home for Exotics, http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display...
But I'm not sure if that one is quite big enough for 4 rats...I've never seen it in person.
I've also very much considered the Super Pet Multi-floor Ferret Home, http://www.petco.com/product/15487/Super-Pet-Multi... Pet Multi-Floor Ferret Home-15487
The last one was actually my first choice, esp for the price but I've heard a lot of people say their rats can squeeze out of the bars...
If anyone has any exp with these cages, advice or suggestions about which cage would be good for 4 female ratties, I would be sooo appreciative. Thanks guys!

i have the last one from petco. the bars are way to wide my rats can get out if they want to but for some reason they just don't. i would get a used cage first so they can grow a little more mine are around 5 months and still pretty small. good luck i would go with the smallest bar spacing for a cage.

The Marshall ferret one defiantly looks the best. The exotic on looks too small for three rats, lets alone four and if your girlie's turn out small they will fit through the bars of the multi floor ferret home.

i like the way the townhouse looks, but might be difficult to clean, i couldn't see the last picture but if this is it: http://pet.imageg.net/graphics/product_images/pPET... my answer would be "no, no, no, no, no!!" its an awesome cage, but VERY hard to clean!!! i haven't tried it for my girls yet, but my boys were extremely messy in it!!
