Red food coloring stains on carpet, how to remove?
My dog ate something with red coloring in it then pooped on the carpet. I have used club soda and oxy clean, it's still not coming out. Any advice?

You may require professional services to remove this dye stain, providing it is a food grade acid dye. Go to www.iicrc.org to locate a certified, insured pro near you. They have access to a product called Red Relief, used with a damp terry cloth towel and a steam iron. Sometimes it requires 2-3 applications to be successful. The stain will come up into the cloth yellow. The carpet is then hot water rinsed and extracted. Oxyclean Laundry Detergent will damage the carpet dyes permanently if the carpet is Nylon. Best to keep all laundry products in the laundry room.

As long as the tile and tub are not porous from age (shiny and hard) it ought to be ok. However, the grout between the tiles is very porous and will soak up the color. Bleach might completely remove the staining, but why go through that?Any dull surface is probably going to absorb the color
