Greater chance of not living up to their contract: Dan Hamhuis or Anton Volchenkov? And why?
Its a tough call, the 'A-Train' is injury-prone and one-dimensional. Hamhuis is solid all around, yet not near anywhere close to $4.5mil per IMO.
Thoughts?

Ahahahahaha...Gold Help Me...yes, God help you. You are very naive and must not follow the Canucks closely enough. Will they win a Cup this year? Probably not this year, but within the next 3, absolutely. How much a player is paid has no bearing on how he will perform on his new team. Don't forget the Canucks didn't add just Hamhuis, they added Ballard too, Malhotra, Tambellini, Perrault...the Canucks also have the Sedin twins, Burrows, Kesler...the top two lines are the second highest scoring lines in the league, andthey've got a (near) stacked team that WILL be tough to beat this year. They will make it past Chicago this year. Chicago got rid of half their team, the big guys who caused the Canucks the most problems, which also open up the opportunity to make it farther than they have the last two years.
You must not watch too much hockey, or the panels...they're all saying Vancouver was one of the four big winners at the frenzy yesterday, and they will be one of the teams to beat this year, top of the conference teams, and keep in mind, the frenzy isn't over yet...4th, 5th or 6th in the Conference? Are you effing kidding me? You must be. You're like some angry little boy who had strawberries instead of bananas for breakfast, throwing a tantrum. Wait for the season, I agree, but don't get angry about it, and if you're sick about hearing the excitement of the Canucks fans, well, quit opening up the questions about Vancouver.
This year will be the year the Canucks get a feel for the new team and get comfortable with each other, and next year, Canucks will FINALLY bring Stanley home. Canucks will be Stanley Cup champs of 2012

Honestly I think Hamhuis is more likely not to live up to his contract; however the last person to answer obivously doesnt dont much about hockey or is just a flames fan mad about the Joki signing, I would go with the second. So if Nucks were to finish best 4th in the conference who from the NW is going to beat them? Flames = laughing stock of NHL, Oilers rebuilding Minny and Col wont be very good. Secondly Van is better then then they were last year, where they managed to beat LA, soundly, Chicago has lost 10 of its players from last year, most of who were HUGE impact players agaisnt Van. Without these players it will be hard to compete physcially agaisnt other teams.
If you dont know anything about hockey please dont reply, because the last poster obviously is just angry or has seen maybe 1 or 2 games in his life and doesnt understand the game

Dan Hamhuis for sure..
This guy is WAY WAY overrated and is NOT worth 4.5 million a year, NO WAY. This draft class is pretty weak aside from a few players and just because he is one of the Top 3 defence in this Free Agency, does not mean he is good. (Analogy:) That's like taking Ben Eager, Colton Orr, Matt Carkner and Mike Rupp and saying "Oh, Ben Eager is the 3rd best here out of all these guys. He's soooo goood! Let's sign him to a 3 year 12 million deal!" NO. Volchenkov is way better having seen him play here in Ottawa. But it really pisses me off when people think Dan Hamhuis is like f**cking Ovechkin coming to Vancouver, saying "Ohhh wow! Vancouver is gonna be hard to beat! They might win the cup!" - How about we let the f**cking season start and let it play out itself. Vancouver will come in 5th or 6th, MAYBE 4th at best in the Western Conference and will lose in the 1st or 2nd Round to a team like LA or maybe Chicago again.
