In the last stage of small cell cancer, is it painful? My friend's mother died of this and wants to know about?

how much pain her mother suffered in the last stage before she died. Was she moaning because of being in pain?

Thank you.

As far as I know, most forms of cancer in the last stages are quite painful.

This is usually why many of its victims are given strong pain killers.

Not sure about your friend's mother and her own situation,

but I've been at the bedside of other cancer victims in their final moments.

    ----

    Not pleasant to watch.

But I was there to share the Lord's encouragements with them.

And I do believe God was with them.

I am terribly sorry for your friend's loss.

Hope you can be there for her in upcoming days.

    She will need your comfort.

    P.S.

This website describes small cell cancer a little.

(But unless you've seen it for yourself, as you have, cancer is hard to describe.)

Hi, Pain depends on what kind of cancer, where it's located and on the individual themselves some people have a high pain tolerance and some a low tolerance.Sm.cell is usually considered a fast growing or fast spreading cancer.Pain meds have gotten better and Physicians aren't as [scared] to prescribe as they once were and better educated about pain, meds and terminal disease.I lost a grandmother and a mother to cancer and was a Hospice nurse for several years.Prayer is awesome at bedside for family and loved one. Sorry it's so long getting a little old. Be Blessed

The pain would be excruciating in the last stage but they are so weak they can only let out small small groans maybe, unless the prayers are making a big difference.

I had an aunt, a very strong believer in Christ, who died of pancreatic cancer without pain because she was surrounded by prayer.
