You can't spot train your thighs and obliques, but here's a firsthand story from someone who went from a muffin-top and thunder thighs to a smaller size.

Cut down on those calories and salts! Eating plenty of fruits and water regulates your digestive system, so less stuff is being constantly absorbed by your intestines.

But if you want to get rid of all that fat, lower your caloric intake by 500 calories a day and do cardio. Try a long walk every evening, biking, jumping up and down in your house during commercials, anything to get your heart rate up.

Building muscle in your thighs can also help with the slimming. Try doing lunges instead of simply walking around the house. Then try squats when you're cooking food.

And also, yoga is a really good way to tone up your abs. There's a bunch of free video here:

Exercisetv.tv/workout-videos/ is a great place to find free workout videos that can range from building lean muscle, to dance and cardio videos.

    Good luck!

Diet and exercise. There's no one workout that's going to magically get you into shape. Your body loses weight like a water balloon with a leak in that it loses fat in all areas at once rather than in the area that you're exercising. You have plenty of options (cardio, weight training, aerobics, yoga, pilates) and your best bet would be to find a combination that you're comfortable with and stick with it.

Remember, getting into shape is a lifestyle and not a project. If you want to be in shape, you're going to have to commit yourself to a lifetime of fitness because once you stop you're going to start getting out of shape again.

Jog, eat right, and do ab workouts that target your obliques. Unfortunately you can't really tell your body where you want to lose the fat, but keep at it and you'll eventually get the results you want.
