Of course. The USA has the power to destroy the whole world about 11 times (nuclear).

The Iranian population is very young. Their median age is in their thirties, due to the wars they've had. They tend to look up to America. They hate Ahmadinejad, and they're tired of religious rule. They're evolving in the direction we want them to. If we attack them, they'll go the other direction.

Besides, who would they nuke even if they had nukes, which they don't? They have no delivery system to nuke us, and they know if they did we'd flatten them. If they nuke Israel, they get all the fallout and die too, plus Israel and us would both nuke them.

So what's the point of war with them?

Better we should just drop a bunch of American magazines, movies, music CDs and blue jeans on them from planes. Show them how good life can be and let them overthrow their own government.

They would start with soft power until Iran forces them to use hard power!

Militarily yes. But destroying Iran is not what the U.S wants if it came to this. It's the Iranian government where the problem exist. It's not the Iranian people or their culture.

If the US got into a war where the intentions were to win (something the US has pretty much not done since WWII) the US would wipe Iran off the face of the earth and that is regardless if it was a conventional war or nuclear war.

We didn't try and destroy Iraq. If we had, there would be nothing left.

The USA can destroy any country in the Middle East relatively easily.

I would assume that agents would infiltrate the government and assassinate leaders before bombing and invading.
