Is there a way to limit the number of tabs on my sister has up on her internet?

when my sister uses the home computer she pulls up multiple tab when using the internet and it bogs the connection when i am on my laptop we are both use a wireless cards to connect. is there any way i can but a block on the number of tabs so i can actually get stuff done.

    My guess is that she is not just browsing websites. Websites only send/receive traffic when the page is loading (or video) not when they are just sitting in open tabs. I currently have over 30 tabs open on a very slow network. But since only 1 is actually being used at any one time, nobody see's a difference.

    She could either have a virus or is downloading/uploading things like music/videos with a different program. Run a virus check on her computer and then I would suggest making sure that programs like emule or utorrent are set to limit the bandwidth. This will ensure that you can co-exist on the same network:)
