Is free will god given, or a birth rite?

Why do churchies give a "please refer to jesus" type answer when they get a real question? (sorry, I know this is 2 separate questions)

    Free will is just simply choice. The ability to choose. Which is something we are born with. It does not, however, fully show up until later in life when our brains become fully developed.

    You are better off reading the Word of God, the Bible, than just someone`s opinion. Read Genesis. Eve has a choice.
