Gardy isn't the "best", but he is definately top 5. He leads the Twins to winning seasons year after year. One day i hope to see Gardy and my Minnesota Twins win the World Series for the 3rd time.

He does a great job every year. The Twins always seem to be in contention to win the division title, so he must be doing something right. I'd put him in the top 3 with Francona and Scioscia. Hopefully like those two managers, Gardy will get a championship ring soon.

I think so. Mike Scoscia wins the AL manager of the year most of the time, but the Angels always have a big payroll. Gardy is always second, with almost no payroll (before this year). I think he is one of the most underrated managers in the league. Plus all the division championships in the last decade.

    Mike Scioscia by far.

EDIT: The Twins lost Santana, then Hunter... Alright...

The Angels lost: John Lackey, Francisco Rodriguez, Garret Anderson, Vlad Guerrero, Chone Figgins...

  • Mike Soscia is the best coach in MLB. I don't watch the the Twins much, or the Angels. I've seen Gardenhire put in a pitcher who Arod owns, and it ended up in a game winning HR.

I have to say that I think he's better than Scioscia. He wins sometimes with thin air. The Twins were supposed to have shriveled up after Santana left but they hardly skipped a beat. Then they lost Hunter. No problem. I don't know how he does it.

It's really hard to judge how good a manager someone is.

Gardenhire is definitely good though, and Scioscia is also good.

I can't really tell you who's the best because it really depends on the team, and there's quite a lot of luck involved.

  • Nah, Jim Leyland is better... He took a team that was awful to the World Series in less than a year...

btw - You added me as a contact. I'm not sure if you know this, but i'm a Tigers fan... I just lost a bet with B Telsh. lol
