What is violation of Community Guidelines here? What is the nature of persons who reported? Read Details……?

I'm used to get such notices. Whenever I greet my Hindu brothers on Holi, Diwali or Indp. day. Some hate mongers are out there to look for such things which encourage brotherhood.

More painful is the fact that no body at Yahoo cares to see the contents of your question or answer.It is also amazingly disgusting that several questions & answers appear frequently on this forum which are just filthy.

Perhaps that is the reason that Y/A is being ruled by the clones & trolls.

I have learned to give no hue & cry over my violation notices. They can NOT contain me & my views.

So keep on giving your good answers VEERS . They shouldn't be taken seriously specially when you can't do any thing about it.

Just relax , forgive & forget the culprits.

It looks like some people don't understand how mature and serious the M&D regulars are... But, to give you my point of view, Ace, I don't know how you'd expect these people to read the community guidelines. Sometimes, it seems that they have a hard time reading one question before "verbally" jump on the asker. And I do agree that the anonymity of reporting and TDing promote these actions. There would be less of them if one was forced to take the responsibility of each. Disclaimer: I'm married and so is my husband, and I allow people to answer when I send hatemail ... one uptill now... working on the second so it'll be ready when needed :-)

Veer Sir.. I understood your situation.. You have used a Language of Tamil in your answer.. But you should provide english meaning to that tamil words.. If not.. Its a violation.. Some people are here to report the Questions & Answers unnecessarily.. Yahoo! staff members dont know the language Tamil.. So you have to ask appeal and you should tell the reason that you have not posted any unwanted things or Violation things.. Then after Yahoo! will accept your appeal and approve it.. It happened to me many a times and i won all my violation reports.. Hope you got it.. have a good luck...

i am shocked since i find no violation of community guidelines in both question and answer. Now a days, we find the youngsters did not care the parents. This question and subsequent answer is purely to make awareness in the mind of youngsters to feel their responsibilities. is it wrong doing good things to the society ? i feel it is better to ask question about actor, actresses, and their dress, about movies. This is approved by the yahoo. we should not tell moral stories. who want moral stories ? i think they like single and dating questions. Moreover, those who did not want tamil people who are all now asking good questions, answering well and may also be one of the reasons for reporting. Instead of appreciating, why they do so ? who knows ?

I say Veers, many idle ones and good for nothing ones also visit the site. some of them may have been hurt by your quotes and comments. After all people are not only selfish but feel guilty for their irresponsibility. So they would have shown the anger on you.

Is it really new to you? You are already a major contributor and should know the state of things in yahoo! I only get surprised if some good Qs and good answers survives till resolution!!

Yahoo team does not seem to evaluate the material on merits but seems to go with proposals of some group of persons. Many times I had failed to have malicious and balatantly abusive contents. On the other hand I had seen many harmless Qs seeking sincere responses - including a few of mine and my several contacts - have been deleted unceremoniously even after appeals.

You can see even now many trolls posting very abusive content to hurt people of some or other religious, political, racial group, in the yahoo answers, with total impunity, while many Qs and As of harmless nature are deleted summarily.

Either yahoo is so understaffed to cope with the enormous mails of appeals etc or utterly unconcerned with quality of its members. Domination of unscrupulous people would make more and more serious contributors to leave the forum for good. There seems to be no way out in the absence of yahoo team trying to be serious about this.

In my opinion , though you used Tamil script , you gave the English gist of those 7 reasons.So people who are supposed to know English in YA shall understand your answer .So In no way it appears to be a Violation.

There are some YA R & S members who openly declare that they do not like some persons.

I have Two such members of level 4 I think who said whatever the answer I give they always give thumbs down and continued to give TDs to my answers what ever the answer be.

Why I am saying this is there are persons who are predetermined to report if they think there is a slightest reason (though it is incorrect technically), to report the question or give TDs .

We can not do any thing in such cases except again appealing to YA and getting our answer restored with reasonable and logical reply.

I got like that 4 of my answers restored..

I have written a detailed email to YA regarding trolls and these type of persons.But it is in vain.

Let us hope YA members who are misbehaving now will learn themselves to behave .

Dear Veers, what you said is right.I twice emailed detaledly proposing that at lest 10 or 15 TCs shall report about any violation to be considered by YA team.

I also proposed that many times BAs are selected , when gone for voting with ONLY ONE VOTE while there are better answer than the one selected as BA.So I proposed to YA that they select a panel of atleast 25 or 50 members in that category and refer the question to them for voting, so that there may be justification of selecting BAs.These members may be changed from time to time and new members added.

I emailed this proposal too.

Next very clearly gave an email asking that Using one members personal Photo and Name as it is, is not invation into Privacy of the individual and a Violation? No answer.

Many members Avatars and Name as it is ( including mine. banjaran ji, micky gg, Vidya rajagopalan ji etc to name a few) are used as it is.Is it not a intrusion into Privacy of the Member and there by a Violation.

I proposed if any troll uses Avatar and user name as it is or almost similar SHALL BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY after the Original mwember reports the matter.No action so far in spite of writing to them 5 times or so.

What Banjaran ji said is true.I could not vote for that same reason.I don`t understand what is happening in Ya India R & S section especially.

Let us unite and find a way out.

Other wise I feel quitting once for all this YA is the BEST.

This has happened many times to me....

I had appealed many times to Y!A about deletion of Tamil references. Even though I write to customer care stating that "I had provided an equivalent English Translation underneath", The reply is of the tape-recorded dialogue!!!

"Questions or answers must be written in a comprehensible way, and must be WRITTEN IN THE LANGUAGE SPECIFIC TO THE ANSWERS SITE to which it is uploaded. "

That implies that Y!A does not care about knowledge base from other languages, even if a valid translation is provided underneath!!

About those who are reporting them..

They are hypocrites who could not tolerate other languages !!

They are lunatic followers of their language...

Else, they could not understand the meaning!!

P.S: I could not get how those contents posted in Sanskrit or Hindi alone remain intact.. Though the Indian version of Y!A is in English!!

I could not get that too.. How an answer with a valid translation be a violation?

I would appeal this one. It is not clear if the end of your answer is a translation of the non-English part. That should be made clear. If not, then that part of your post is a violation. It is best to reference non-English parts of an answer instead of posting it, so there is no confusion. Also note, the asker made their post a violation in the added details.

even the same situation happened to me...when one of my contacts asked a question like she is not receiving any mails of the new answers....i answered that i too experience the same problem....and then my question was deleted and i received a violation notice....i am new to y/a...joined just before 1 month.....and when i received such notice, i was shocked....i still can't understand the reason...

some people are doing this acts just because they can't tolerate to see someone with tc badge...y/a must take some steps before it becomes much serious....
