what do you have for sunday breakfast?

over the years my sunday breakfast-es have obviously changed...when i was a boy my parents would send my sisters and I to sunday school(which i disliked intensely btw ; )

and when we went back home my parents would be preparing a typical west indian late breakfast or lunch...consisting of fried flour dumplings...(i used to really like those but i don't eat them now as they are very fattening)

fried salt fish fritters( again very fattening but delicious..) made with flour, salted fish..onions..peppers..and seasoning like pepper etc...and pan fried in oil.

bacon...sausages...and baked beans mixed with onions...man i used to enjoy those late lunches at home!

then as i started getting older i more or less stopped eating those things...and instead i would make corned beef and onion sandwiches...i would chop and fry the onions and mix them together with tinned corned beef and pan fry it and make toasted sandwiches with them....was nice but again very fattening i think.

now up to date i have stopped eating bacon and sausages...and rarely eat baked beans these days...what i make now for my sunday breakfast is a four egg Omlette...mixed with cheese...sometimes peppers and cold chicken....and i always have sliced tomatoes with it and 5 rounds of hovis brown toast.

washed down with a glass of cold water...that always sets me up nicely for the rest of the day till dinner time.

for dinner later i'm having Giovanni rana's spinach pasta( really nice) with giovanni's bolangnese pasta shells and maybe a few slices of brown bread and butter...should be nice!

what are you having?

Update:

hisxgirl

i heard that the coffee is pretty bad in circus circus?

and that the buffet food leaves much to be desired?

overall the impression i got is that circus circus

is a circus and thats not a compliment and neither am i being rude...i'm just curious as to how you could possibly enjoy anything from circus circus?

Update 2:

looney dufus.....you have...wine....and wafers..........for breakfast?

come on man your having me on!

surely?

what kind of breakfast is that?

how could that set you up till dinner time man?

come again but this time be serious....

Update 3:

now that sounds like a calorie controlled breakfast mermaid?

am i correct?

i love wholemeal bread too...hovis sensations is my current favourite...but it must be toasted...i will never eat eggs with untoasted bread...i'm funny in that way.

and i love my herbal tea especially when my nerves are shaken up...a good hot cup of camomile tea does the trick everytime.

so your not a bacon and eggs fan mermaid?

Update 4:

oliven

please dont take this the wrong way but you need much more than coffee in your tank in the morning.

it wont get you too far...think how many hours are in between breakfast time lunch and dinner?

please olly start eating...it will do you the world of good.

Update 5:

@ rose

or one queen sized bowl of cereal?

etc etc?

If I am in the south....breakfast buffet is the way to go...if I am in Las Vegas the buffet at Circus Circus is the way to go. If I am home I love bacon, eggs, hashbrowns, pancakes, OJ, toast, sausage links or patties, pigs in a blanket, ham, crepes, fruit, cereal, and oatmeal. I have my own buffet!!!!!!

Coffee, like every other day. I seldom eat anything in the morning because I'm just not very hungry at that time of day.

Wholemeal toast with marmite or porridge and an herbal tea.
