OK I agree with the first responder. This is a neck or shoulder issue. The pain will radiate to your hands. Any tension on the nerve will cause pain in the hands.

I agree, see a chiropractor. I have seen many patients myself with these types of conditions. Most are helped with a simple neck adjustment.

If you need to find a chiropractor in your area, check out http://www.chirodirectory.com/

Look for someone who specializing in Gonstead, Toggle recoil, or SOT. They seem to do really well with neck adjustments.

I really Wish you the best

it sounds like you are compensating your movements @ your shoulder, elbow & possibly neck BECAUSE of your carpal tunnel;; stretches are recommended for your wrists, but hon, the effectiveness of the stretches & the choice to have surgery or not are all dependent on how long you've been dealing with this;; in ANY condition, the more chronic, the harder to treat....& btw, your chiropractor is wrong in one direction, MD's DO know the SAME things he does & more....shame on him for saying that...& chiro-man, I did not thumb you down...

Numbness DOES NOT radiate inwardly - only outwardly.

This is evidence you DON'T HAVE CARPAL TUNNEL, but rather a neck/shoulder problem only a license Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C., not some cheap imitation) can help.

Email me if you have a question or need a name in your area.

No, DON'T ask your MD about it, they don't know the slightest thing about chiropractic, it's not in their education.
