How can I store my broadband password in my linksys wireless router so that connecting the broadband isn't req?

Firstly just read this all at one time and then do changes according to this.

go to your router's default gateway which is generally 192.168.1.1 on internet explorer

If u r not sure then ask your isp.

If it asks for a password then enter your username and password which is "admin" and "admin" resp. generally.

"If page doesn't display then go to your network connections and then right click you local area connection or wireless connection (if you connect through wifi).

then click properties, then double click on internet protocol version 4 (ipv4) and then click on use the following ip address

In subnet mask type 255.255.0.0

In default gateway type 192.168.1.1 (your router's gateway)

In IP Address type same as default gateway and then add 2 to the last digit.

e.g Mine gateway is 192.168.1.1 so 1+2=3 hence i write 192.168.1.3"

Now try to open your default gateway in internet explorer.

e.g. i will open 192.168.1.1 as this is my router's gateway and u shud know yours

If it opens then

and now reboot your router and remove your settings of your local area connection that we have made and change it to obtain an ip address automatiocally.

Now connect your wire of local area connection or connect your wifi.
