How to keep the top menu bar on the screen all the time? I have to press F10 each time I want to use the top bar re: Bookmarks; File; Tools, etc.... Then, the top bar goes away again.

My quick guess is that you might be in fullscreen mode. If you hit f11, the window should come back to normal with that startbar visible again.
If that's not it, then I'd double check that both Menu Bar and Navigation Bar are ticked in View > Toolbars.
