Unless your rich in wealth, the 300 and 338 Win Mags are about the cheapest for the bang in large calibers as you will find. Anything larger and it's gonna cost. If money isn't an option the numerous wildcats of 338 Titain, 338 Jarrett, 338 Meteor, 416 Rem Mag, 416 Jarrett, Rigby, the Weatherby magnums of 340 and up, 458 WinMag, 458 Lott, the Nitro Express's of 400 to 700, 577 Tyranasaures, 505 Gibbs and on and on. ALL of the afformentioned surpass your 338 Lapua in thump and bang. But expensive to shoot even when reloading them.

Iknoe you dont "think " you want a bigger gun....but a 458 winchester mag or 460 weatherby just might be your cup a tea !

Source(s): well then the 458 will do the trick!
