Please help me solve this problem. And leave in all the steps and details you did so I can understand it

2(x+3) / 16 = 5 / 3(x-7)

I got the first part solved where you just get rid of the parenthesis but i forget what to do after that. Thanks!

    2(x+3) / 16 = 5 / 3(x-7)

    2x+6/16= 5/3x-21

    cross multiply

    (2x+6) (3x-21)=16 X5

    6x^2-24x-126=80

    6x^2-24x-126-80=0

    6x^2-24x-206=0

then solve by using quadratic formula

    ans:

    x=8.19,-4.19

    2(x+3) / 16 = 5 / 3(x-7)

    2x+3 / 16 = 5 / 3x-21

    (2x+3)(3x-21) = 5x16

    2x(3x-21)+3(3x-21) = 80

    6x.x - 42x +9x.x - 63 = 80

    15x.x - 42x -63-80 = 0

    15x.x - 42x - 140 = 0

    then solve for x

hi chum this an undemanding question in accordance with linear equations you need to use transposition approach in this technique whilst a term is transfered from one area to different its sign turns into opposite answer: x+4-7x=22 =4-7x=22-x (right here x comes from the left area its sign differences) =4=22-x+7x(right here 7x comes from the left area its sign differences) =4-22=6x(same) =-18=6x x=-18/6 =-3 Bye Bye!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
