Feel like taking a long name survey?

01. What is your first and middle name? Do you like it? Do you think the two names go well together? If you had the option of changing your name right now, would you? What name would you choose instead?

02. Do you have or want children? How many of each do you have or want, and what genders are they? If you don't have any children yet, have you chosen names for your future babies? Which names do you love the most and why?

03. Do you have any "guilty pleasures"? (Names you love but wouldn't necessarily use, because they are too strange-sounding.) What names would fall under this guilty pleasure list for you? How do you think you would feel if you had this name attached to you through life? Would you be okay with it, or would you want to change your name as soon as legally possible?

04. Have you spent any time researching the meanings of the names you love? What do your favourite names mean? Are the meanings behind the names important to your choices, or do you just find them slightly interesting? What does your own name mean, and do you think the meaning reflects you as a person at all?

05. Have you researched the origins of the names you like? Is there a certain region most of your beloved names come from, i.e. France or Russia? Have you chosen these names for that specific reason, so that they'd go together or because your family is from that region? Where is your own name from?

06. How do you feel about alliteration? Do you like names like "Linda Louise" or "Melissa Marlene"? Would you name your own kids this way, or would you consider naming all your kids with the same letter?

07. Do you have any pets? What are they like and what names have you chosen for them? Are you the sort of person who chooses "people names" for your dogs and cats? If you don't have any animals, are there any names you've considered for future pets?

08. What are the names of your closest relatives and friends? Would you consider naming any of your children after these people? What names would you consider and why? Do you think the original person would be touched by your decision, or do you simply like their name?

09. Anything to add?

    01. My name is Elizabeth Anne. I like it but it is super common. I was names after my grandmother. Her favourite name is Elizabeth and her middle name is Anne. She was going to name my mom Elizabeth but gave that name to her cat instead. The cat was older than me so in a way i was named after a cat. I think they go great together. They are both classic beautiful names. I don't know if I would change my name because it would be very hard to get used to it but if I could get used to it easily and everybody else in the world could too I would change it to Esme Elizabeth or any other name I love but its hard to choose just one.

    02. I really want children. It is my dream. I would be happy with whatever I got but I am hoping to have 5 children. That might change but I highly doubt it. I don't care what gender but I want at least one of each gender. Like I wouldn't want all boys or all girls. I would get tired of them all being the same gender. If I had 5 boys/girls I would probably try again until I got one from the opposite gender.

    03. I like the names Sloane, Annabelle, Avalon, and Briar for girls and I like Bronx, Onyx, Jagger, Medden, Maddox, Jax, Knox, and Pax for boys. I love these names and get happy when I see them but my sister does not like them and shes my twin so she would be a big part of my kids' lives. Onyx is also my dog's name so people might find it weird to name a kid after a dog. These names are still middle name options. if these were my names I probably would not change it because they are all cool names and people would probably always comment on how cool of a name I had.

    04. I occasionally search the meanings of my favourite names but it doesn't really matter to me what they mean. While I picked out the names of my children I would probably check out the meanings but I like a name for the name its self not for the meaning. I know the meaning of my own name. Elizabeth means God is my oath and Anne means Gracious. I am not religious but I am a bot gracious. I know the meanings of a few of my favourite names so I will say the ones I know. I don't really think the meaning of a name reflects a person.

Elizabeth - God is my oath

    Rosalie - Rose

    Rose- Rose

    Esme - Love

    Emmett - Entire

Onyx - Well its the name of a stone.

    Bronx - Bronck's Land

    Bennett - Little blessed one

    05. I like names from a few different places and if I were to go through my list a lot would probably be from England. I like a couple from France. Some are Irish, Welsh, American, and a couple Scottish. I have a pretty mixed background. I have some Scottish, English, and Irish in me and some Italian and Acadian(French), and of course American. So I guess the names I like reflect my background. My name is Hebrew which is strange because nobody in my family is. My mom just liked the names. My sister, Mary Elise,'s name is Hebrew and French but my mom got Mary from Marie which is french.

    06. I don't mind alliteration al long as both the names are nice names. I would try to avoid it while naming my children but if I have to I will use one but that is highly unlikely because I have a lot of favourite names to choose from. I wouldn't name all my kids using the same letter but if a couple of my kids had the same letter names I wouldn't freak out. I like a lot of E names(probably because my name is an E name) so a couple of my kids might have E names but I wouldn't name a kid to follow a pattern.

    07. I had 3 hamsters named Sparkie, Hammie and Apple Sauce/Sparkle but I named them when I

was little. Now I have a better taste in names. I have 2 cats and a dog currently. The cats are girls named Kiki and Griddle. My brother thought of Kiki and I couldn't think of anything at the time so I agreed and Griddle had the name when we got her. My dog's name is Onyx. He was also named when we got him but I loved the name and it suited him so we kept it. I want to get a couple Great Danes, some cats, and a horse. I want to name the dogs Bella and Apollo. I think Potato and Taco would be funny cat names and I want to name the horse Bronx because I think it really suits a horse. Whenever I hear or think of the name it reminds me of horses and I don't know why. I like to be creative with Pet names and I don't like pet names like Sam or Max they are boring.

    08. By close relatives I think up to grandparents. So here goes:

    Dean

    Kim

    William

    Mary

    Elizabeth

    Susan

    Shannon

    Heidi

    Kevin

    Mark

    Andrew

    Jeffery

    Llisa

    Bryan

    Daniel

    Joshua

    Dean

    Bernadine

    Edward

    Judith

    David

    Karen

I don't like very many of these names except Elizabeth and Edward. These are the only names I would consider using on my children. My sister Mary's middle name is Elise which is very close to alice ad Alice os on my favourite name list so in a way its her name but whatever.

    09. I thought this was a very good survey and I had a lot of fun answering it. Sorry if you didn't want to read the whole thing because it was long.

    Question

Feel like taking a long name survey?

    01. What is your first and middle name? Do you like it? Do you think the two names go well together? If you had the option of changing your name right now, would you? What name would you choose instead?

My name is Melanie Kate. I like it okay, its pretty feminine & I'm not! - If I were to change my name, it would probably be to Jaime or Jesse...something more unisex and 'bad girl' lol.

    02. Do you have or want children? How many of each do you have or want, and what genders are they? If you don't have any children yet, have you chosen names for your future babies? Which names do you love the most and why?

I have one daughter (Hannah Grace) and I am pregnant with #2. If baby#2 is a boy, his name will be Micah James. If not--it will be a disaster because hubby & I can never agree on girl names! PERSONALLY, I love Caroline Rose....Summer Skye....Ruby Lilah....

I like 'Charley' for a girl--I think its super cute. As any child would, I most likely wouldn't enjoy having a 'different' name. I wouldn't change the name, but I might go by a nickname that is more feminine.

    04. Have you spent any time researching the meanings of the names you love? What do your favourite names mean? Are the meanings behind the names important to your choices, or do you just find them slightly interesting? What does your own name mean, and do you think the meaning reflects you as a person at all?

My name means "the dark one" and nah--it doesn't reflect much--lol--I don't really research the meanings because most folks don't know that either way when they hear your child's name.

    05. Have you researched the origins of the names you like? Is there a certain region most of your beloved names come from, i.e. France or Russia? Have you chosen these names for that specific reason, so that they'd go together or because your family is from that region? Where is your own name from?

I think most of my names are English/more traditional. There are some cute french names though. My name is Greek.

    06. How do you feel about alliteration? Do you like names like "Linda Louise" or "Melissa Marlene"? Would you name your own kids this way, or would you consider naming all your kids with the same letter?

Not big on alliteration---MIGHT consider giving kids the same first letter since I'm only having two and it sounds cute together when you list your children's names.

    07. Do you have any pets? What are they like and what names have you chosen for them? Are you the sort of person who chooses "people names" for your dogs and cats? If you don't have any animals, are there any names you've considered for future pets?

My dog is Chewie. My hubby's dog is Bailey. Chewie is male--hyperactive & trouble-making--a little dare devil but very loveably. Bailey is a prissy (and stinky) girl dog. She is very spoiled and melodramatic. She is 'affectionate' in that she will use ANYONE for warmth or attention (I can't stand her, personally).

    08. What are the names of your closest relatives and friends? Would you consider naming any of your children after these people? What names would you consider and why? Do you think the original person would be touched by your decision, or do you simply like their name?

Joli is my best friend...and I DO like the girl name Jolene. I think she would be touched if I used it --hubb would never let me though

    09. Anything to add?

    Nope!

    1. Paris Harriet. It's ok. People usually call me Perry. Personally, I don't think they go well at all. I don't know what my parents were thinking. I might. If I would, I'd change it to Jacqueline. :)

    2. I do want to have children someday, when I'm ready. I wasnt 3-7. It really depends on who I marry.

    3. Jenany. It's like Germany, with the rm replaced with an N. I doubt I'd name my future child this, but hey! Who knows. I like it. I kinda wish it was MY name...

    4. Yeah, I have. My favorite names are:

    Jaqueline- To protect

    Edward- Wealthy guardian

I just find them interesting. They would't influence my choice of names, but it'd give me something to think about. My name means City in France, Home ruler. Considering, Im not a city or in France nor do I rule my home, I'd say no.

    5. Well. I love Irish names because my boyfriend is Irish. (Well, thats not the only reason) I just love the sound of them. Pairs is... French, lol. Although, Jacqueline is French and Edward is English.

    6. I dislike name alliteration. I mean, sometimes its ok, but I would definitely NOT name my kids with the same letter!!

    7. I have a dog and a cat. My dog's name is Stud. He's a little border collie mix. He's really sweet. Stud is an oxymoron on him because he's a little wimp! My cat's name is Nana. She's a HUGE fat cat. She's a sweethear, but has a temper.

    8. Nancy, Violet, Sara, Raymond, Orlando. I'd use them as middle names. If I used them as first names, it'd get too confusing! I think they'd be touched. Nancy and Violet are my sibling's names. Sara is the name of my best friend. Raymond is a family name, and Orlando is my grandfather.

    01. Anabelle Grace. I really like my name. I think they go good together. I wouldn't change it, because I LOVE the name Bella, but everyone calls me that now, anyway:)

    02. Yes, I do want children. I would love them no matter how many or what the gender, but if I had to choose I want a girl first and then a boy. Only 2. thats enough. I have a baby name list -

    Girls -

    Sophia Janelle

    Vanessa Isabelle

    Gabriella Ivy

    Juliette Grace

    Boys -

    Liam Joseph

    Addison Noah

    Kamden Gene

    Riley Morgan

I like Sophia Janelle and Liam Joseph.

    03. I have one. It's the name Taraleigh. I would be OKAY with it. I wouldn't change it.

    04. I love that the name Sophia means wisdom, so she'll be smart. Liam means protection. I like their meanings:)

    05. I don't really care about that.

    06. Me and my two sisters name all start with A. (Anabelle, Abby, Alexis) My dad ALWAYS gets mixed up, So no, I wouldn't do that. I also don't think that name Alliteration sounds good at all.

    07. Unfortunately, I don't have any pets because my mom won't let us have one. I don't REALLy give people names to pets but I sometimes do. When I move out and get maried and have kids, I want a golden retriever named Daisy, and a goldfish names Bubblez:)

    08. Mom- Tina, Dad- Jeffrey, Sister#1-Abby, Sister#2- Alexis, me- Anabelle. Friends- Paige and Christina. I LOVE my friend's names. My sister's names are okay, but I'm getting tired of A names. I think they would LOVE it if I used their names for my baby but I would leave one out if i did that and it wouldn't be right.

    09. nope:)

    <3Anabelle:)

    01. What is your first and middle name? Do you like it? Do you think the two names go well together? If you had the option of changing your name right now, would you? What name would you choose instead?

~My name is Leah Suzan. (Sue-Zan) I've always liked it and never wanted to change it.

    02. Do you have or want children? How many of each do you have or want, and what genders are they? If you don't have any children yet, have you chosen names for your future babies? Which names do you love the most and why?

~I currently have one daughter named Ariana Elaine. We call her Ari. I would like to have 2 more children, preferably a boy and then another girl. For a boy, I have the name Elias Ray picked out. Ray is a family name and Elias can be shortened to Eli, which I think goes well with Ari.

~I always like the name Gage, but I don't know if I would necessarily name my kid that. I also like a lot of Biblical names, and quite a few "ethnic" names, but my husband and I aren't in agreement with any of them.

    04. Have you spent any time researching the meanings of the names you love? What do your favourite names mean? Are the meanings behind the names important to your choices, or do you just find them slightly interesting? What does your own name mean, and do you think the meaning reflects you as a person at all?

~I don't read too much into name meanings. Sure, it's cool if I look up a name I like on a website and the name happens to mean something neat, but it doesn't make or break the name for me. My name means "weary one" in Hebrew and I've always hated that. LOL I'm not "weary".

    05. Have you researched the origins of the names you like? Is there a certain region most of your beloved names come from, i.e. France or Russia? Have you chosen these names for that specific reason, so that they'd go together or because your family is from that region? Where is your own name from?

~I tend to like Irish names, but I don't really seek them out.

    06. How do you feel about alliteration? Do you like names like "Linda Louise" or "Melissa Marlene"? Would you name your own kids this way, or would you consider naming all your kids with the same letter?

~I don't mind alliteration, I think it can be cute sometimes.

    07. Do you have any pets? What are they like and what names have you chosen for them? Are you the sort of person who chooses "people names" for your dogs and cats? If you don't have any animals, are there any names you've considered for future pets?

~I'm one of those people who chooses "people names". LOL My Jack Russel terrier is named Bruce after Bruce Wayne, Batman...he has a bat symbol in a pattern of his fur on his back. My other dog is named Sasha. She was named after the MVP of the KU/Davidson game (Sasha Kahn) the year KU won the NCAA National Championship.

    08. What are the names of your closest relatives and friends? Would you consider naming any of your children after these people? What names would you consider and why? Do you think the original person would be touched by your decision, or do you simply like their name?

~My father's name is Kent, which I have always liked, but probably not enough to take the name. My mother's name is Katha Elaine, and I actually took her middle name for my daughter. She was touched and I also like the name itself.

    01. Graydon Louis. Yes. Yes. Maybe my middle name. Ng.

    02. Want children.I want at leave 5, with a 2:1 boy to girl ratio.Haven't chosen any, but maybe Travis, Kaylun, Angelina, Carolyn, or Dante. I really like Carolyn and Kaylun. The first sounds pretty, and the second is the name of my best friend, whos helped me a lot.

    03. Not that I can think of. Maybe a name that is obviously meant for a different race but I use for my kids (I'm white). Asian names - Ng, Tang, etc.Shiniquoi (sp.) etc. I would probably think it's funny, but be like wtf parents? I dunno, I would probably keep it. Good conversation starter.

    04. Nope. Don't know.

    05. Nope, Don't know. My last name is Danish though.

    06. Some alliteration names sound good, occasionaly they don't. The second is better than the first. I would consider alliteration for my kids, but not every kid having the same letter.

    07. Two dogs. One is like garfield - lazy, has attitude and likes to eat. His name is Toby. The other is gently, wimpy and his name is Tanner. If it were my choice they would've been named Tom and Tim or something very human.

    08. Frank, Jody, Ashley, Kaylun. Probably just Kaylun. He's the coolest ****. I think they'd be stoked that I named my kid the same as them.

    1) Emily Gertrude. I like Emily but not so much Gertrude but it's a family name. They go okay together. I probably wouldn't change my name because I like it and it has meaning. But if i could rename myself I would pick Emily Gwen.

    2) I want 3 boys 2 girl. I don't have any children. I want their age order to be G B B G B. They woudl be named Juliet Gwen, Phoebe Deidre, Shane Timothy, Ryan Christopher, Kevin Lucas. My favorite is Phoebe Deidre because its so uncommon and pretty.

    3) My guilty pleasure names... Kennedie, Alexia, Violetta, Jolie. i would be okay if my name was Violetta or Jolie. But if it was Kennedie or alexia i would change it.

    4) No i don't look up what they mean. My name means industrious which i don't think that i am. The name meaning (unless its personal family or friend meaning) doesn't matter to me.

    5) no i don't look at the origins of the names i like and i don't know where my name originated from.

    6) I personally don't like it. Some names sound good with it and some don't. It really depends on the name for me.

    7) I had a cat when i was 5 named Sassy and now I have 2 fish, Ace and Faye. I like people names better though, although i do use "pet" names. Future pet names: Gwen, Violet, Arianna, Ellamae.

    8) Jennifer, Caroline, Nicole, Katie, Madeleine, Abby, Debra, and Samantha. I really like Madeleine. I think she would be touched and i love her name!

    9) nope but i love these so please make more <3

    1) Ashly Chanel (Shuh - nell) - It's okay... kinda boring, doesn't flow too well - Yes, Ebony Grace.

    2) When I'm older, yes. - 2 boys & a girl - I sorta chose names... I'm more into uniqueness so most people hate my names, lol... but I stick with my ideas... Cherish, Essence, & Sacred Or Marcel, Dmitri, & Omari.

    3) Like I said... plenty! Naychure (Nature), Nestley (Nestle... the water, yeah.), Lavendar - I'd luv to have one of those names, actually. It'd make me feel like an even more distinct individual.

    4) Not, really. - Naw, the meanings aren't too important since I can kinda guess what they mean just by the names. - My name means Ashtree... yeah, it's the best reflection of myself I could ever ask for... lol.

    5) No. My own name is from pretty much everywhere I imagine...

    6) Alliteration is pretty. I'm not opposed to naming my kids with alliteration but with the names I've chosen it's best if the same letters weren't alliterated.

    7) Yeah, I have pets. - They're both adorable and protective little dogs. Zoe and Peni (unique spellings) - I'm not really that kinda person but if the name goes with the dog I'm all for it. <3

    8) Cynthia, Donell, Evan, Breanna, Angeles, Ariel, etc etc. - Sure I'd consider it, but it wouldn't happen. - I'd consider Cynthia and Donell because they're my parents... and they want me to name my kids after them. - They'd definitely be touched.

    9) Nope.
