How to decide when you're capable of hunting?
How long did it take and when did you feel confident enough to go hunting for the first time? I want to be sure I could take the animal down cleanly but don't know that target shooting is providing the expertise I need.

I grew up around it, so by the time I was legal I was ready.
Experience provides the expertise you need. Your first few years you pass on difficult shots until you build more skill/confidence.

I gave up hunting and took up kayaking. Waaaayyyy more fun, waaayyy more thrills. Waaayyyy more gorgeous women!
