  • Congenital Hairy Nevis and Question of Paternity?

Could paternity be decided or eliminated if the child has a hairy nevis and the father does not? Also, is this trait only transmitted to males? My husband, who did not know his father, has one, but his sister does not. Our son has one but our daughters do not. We thought we knew the identity of my husbands father but he does NOT have a hairy nevis. Is he now eliminated?)

  • Have you received email from a friend saying "check out my photos" through a site called Fanbox?

Then you click to confirm your "relationship". You never really get anywhere. Your friend never sent it. Then someone else in your address book says they got mail from you saying "check out my photos" but you never sent them anything. What is this Fanbox site? How do they access people"s address books and how are they allowed to say you sent it? Who do you report this stuff to?

  • Can you recommend a good wet saw that has a good re-sale value?

I have to tile several bathrooms and have been investigating different wet saws. I think I'd like to get good hp and it should handle 12" tiles and do diagonal cuts. I could get a $300 Craftsman or an $1100 DeWalt. I'd like a good, sturdy unit to handle the work without the problems I read about in the cheaper models. I think I can garage sale the saw afterwardas there is always the same "tool guy" that shows up at them. Maybe I could make most? half? some? of the money back. It's hard enough talking my husband into spending the money for the remodel. He won't go for a good tool if I can't promise what we could expect to resell it for. I don't even think a "tool guy" would be interested in cheap tools. Buy the $300 one, put up with any problems, then throw it away, get nothing back - or spend $1100 dollars, do the jobs well, get back maybe $700, and ultimately spend $400? Which plan sounds better to you?

  • How to decide when you're capable of hunting?

How long did it take and when did you feel confident enough to go hunting for the first time? I want to be sure I could take the animal down cleanly but don't know that target shooting is providing the expertise I need.

  • How to handle a no smoking request in a smoking area?

I'm at an open beach bar where cigarette smoking is permitted. (There are signs that say "No Cigar Smoking".) It's very crowded for the July 4th fireworks. A woman says her son (20 something and not there yet) is "allergic" to smoke. (Maybe he breaks out in hives?) After two more puffs I put it out. Her two adult children arrive and she talks loudly about how inconsiderate some people are. I've put it out and haven't had any more though I want to. I'm fuming. She asks the waitress who tells her smoking is allowed but she continues in her rant. Who is right here? If her son is allergic, why doesn't she bring bubble boy to some area where he won't be affected? Why do people think it's okay to trample the rights of others? Smoking is unpopular and unhealthy. I get it. But this is one spot where I am legally allowed. Should I have said something back? Should I have had another as I so badly wanted to? I'm angry at myself for wimping out and capitulating to that fascist. What would YOU have done?
