casein or whey protein?

i like to work out later in the day, usually around 730 to 8. by the time i'm done i clean up and pretty much go to bed. so which should i use after my work out? casein or whey protein? i guess i usually wait about 30 min to an hour before i actually go to bed.

well i eat dinner around 5, you think i should change my schedule????

    Whey is a fast digesting protein, and it's best to feed your muscles w/in 1/2 hr of lifting. Casein is a slower digesting protein and is often used to prevent muscle breakdown when sleeping (since u aren't eating when u are asleep). You could either 1)drink your whey right after your workout, 2)drink a scoop of both whey and casein right after your workout, or 3)drink your whey right after your workout and then have casein also before bed.

    Thats what I usually do but if anything do that and then take the protein after, i dont really know much about casein. also if you work out in the morning then you can take pre-workout stuff like jack3d but you have to be more carefull on those. but if you are skinny I would say do the thing the other guy said and just eat before you go to bed. but that gains weight...

    if u work out at 8 u will finish in 9 than take whey protein it will need 1 hour to digeest and than u should have dinner in 10 and in 00-00 u should go to bed
