Fav 2.0 is a modern way to use your most visited websites. Set it as homepage and add your most visited sites. It uses cookies to store your sites and settings.

If you’re after quick access to your favourite websites, then Homepage Startup is the ideal homepage you want to set your browser to.
You will notice a search box at the top of the page followed by twelve square boxes. Each square box can be assigned a website by you which will save onto your computer for next time you want to access that website.

Transferr is a visual, web-based bookmarking service that allows its users to save, customise, organise and share their favourite websites with ease.
Users can save bookmarks to their Transferr account by importing them from their web browser, using a Bookmarklet, the popular AddThis button, or by manually entering a URL. Bookmarks are added to a Transferr page as a colourful square icon, a single click will take the user directly to that bookmark. Transferr also creates a screenshot of every bookmark added, so users can quickly and visually recognise their sites: Transferr is speed dial for the web.

It is possible, and realitivly easy to export them to a file. I think you go manage bookmarks and go from there.
However there is a better option... the Xmarks plugin
The Xmarks plugin syncs with a server so any time you reinstall firefox you add xmarks, log it in and tell it to keep the bookmarks on the server and discard those on the computer.
It also allows you to have the exact same bookmarks on every firefox install you use.
I use it to sync my bookmarks across no less than 3 computers, and I hav'nt worried about loosing my bookmarks in years

I extremely have a function below my bookmarks menu, set up Bookmarks. there's a gap to backup and restoration bookmarks. I dont bear in mind if it truly is component to firefox itself, or if it truly is from actual one of my bookmark extensions. i'd attempt checking there first, if no longer, do an information superhighway seek for for a firefox extension that permits you to again them up. i understand there are a gaggle available.
