What's a good straightening iron to buy?

I've had the same straightener for at least 2 years, and my hair is incredibly thick and curly/wavy.

You should get a small flat iron knock-off Chi flat iron. The thinner ones give people with curly hair need the smaller iron to get the curls straighter. A regular Chi would work the same, but a knock off is about half the price for the same effect. I got mine at Sally's Beauty Supply for about $50.

My hair is the exact same the best flat iron id say is a corriolis from the uk google it and it should pull up the website they are pretty pricey but worth every penny i had mine for 4years

Go for the most expensive i paid over £150 for mine and i have curly hair its amazing!..go for one from your local hairstylist but not a little corner store...vidal sasoon hairdressers or hairdressers trained by well known institutions and famously trained hairstylist in your city or town will sell expensive but amazing straightners the best i have found by far is..GHD.... and they have a 5 yr guarantee!

A CHI 1inch ceramic..I'm a hairdresser and Everyone in our salon uses them! they are great and have a lifetime warranty. They also get really hot so be careful! you can purchase them all over I like ULTA stores cause they run great sales on them. Just Google and it should be easy to find one to buy

The best flat irons are tourmaline, it doesn't do as much damage to your hair as any other kind of plating. I recommend this one, you can get it at Sally's for $40.
